[Review] NLIGHTD E1 519A

HI everyone, it’s been a while since I’v posted here but I’ve been reached by www.nealsgadgets.com and he proposed that I test his new flashlight.

You can find it here : NIGHTLD E1

I like AA/14500 flashlights for their compact format and versatility. I like that I can choose between an Eneloop or the supplied 14500 (USB-C rechargeable).

I chose a 3500K 519A version, and damn for a first light with this emitter I’m quite impressed ! Color rendition is fabulous, reds are popping, and the warmth of 3500K is nice to the eye too

Here are a few pics of it and the last one to compare with another well-known model :

Nice machining, a bit slippery though, you don’t want to use it with wet hands.

That SS button is nice looking, click action is precise and more satisfying than a rubber cap would be.It’s a FW button, so you have to select the mode before fully click.

Emitter is a bit off-center but it doesn’t affect beam fortunately.

Boost driver, with 4 modes. They are well sapced, Low is low enough to use in th emiddle of the night when you want to do a ninja fridge expedition

Supplied Li-Ion. It seems to be the samed as Lumintop one. USB-C rechargeable is handy.

There is a light purple AR coating on the glass lens.

Copper MCPCB with DTP, would be easy to swap the emitter but honestly Neals offer so many options that it would not be necessary.

Orange peel textured reflector. Te beam is smooth, with a nice hotspot.

Annnnd here is my biggest grief with this model : it’s a tadtoo big for an AA light.
I like them compact, sleek and able to disappear in my jeans pocket. this one is too bulky for me.
The advantage is that more mass equal more thermal dissipation so high mode can last longer.
