I just got my SC33 ordered using a code from the Grab a SOFIRN SC33 for $32.99 thread. Interestingly mine doesn’t have the auto lockout function. I was going to disable it anyway but apparently it comes from the factory that way, or at least mine did :grinning:

That’s very good to hear. Sofirn said that they would be fixing that with the new batches. Are you able to turn autolock on if you want it?

I haven’t found a way to do that. I’ll play around with it some more but it seems to be a one-way toggle.

So my light didn’t have auto lockout when ON for a minute when I got it. However, bizarrely in my opinion, it did have auto lockout when it was OFF for several minutes! I’ll admit to not reading the instructions that came with it so perhaps it’s in there. But if so it’s a weird feature IMO.

However I was able to turn it off by fast clicking 4 times when it was ON and apparently auto lockout is now completely disabled.

Edit:
What’s weird is the 4 clicks when it’s ON is to change from ramp/step. I’ll have to play around with it more when I get up tomorrow.

Yeah, when the autolock is active (when light has been off for more than 1 minute) 4C will unlock it and disable the autolock feature. When light is on 4C will change to ramping mode/stepped mode. If you want to enable the autolock feature again, 4C when light is off will do it.

The only negative I have to say about the lockout feature on this light is that once locked you can’t choose what output to start it in, if you were in high when turning off your light, well, be ready to be blasted when unlocking it next time. :sunglasses:

Yeah I figured that out this morning. For some reason I was thinking that the auto lockout activated when the light was on :kissing_heart:. In my defense I’ve been on Oxy for 2 months now after surgery to remove my lower right lung lobe.
