[Review] Olight Marauder Mini (7,000lm, 32650, flood/spot/RGB)

This is a link to my review of the impressive Olight Marauder Mini. This is an (almost) 7,000 lumen “soda can” class torch/flashlight, with a single 32650 battery, and flood/spot/RGB LEDs and optics.
This review is written from the perspective of a light painting/night photographer as well as flashlight enthusiast.

I’ve just added a stack of outdoor beam shots to this review.

Nice to see you are liking the Marauder Mini as well!

Thank you for the review!

Olight have got the nail on the head with this light.

Great review. I just got one today . Wish I had known about the lockout . I though the switch was bad .

I used this light heavily last night for beam shots and walking in woods. I got used to the lockout and unlocking procedure quite quickly. As Olights are aimed at consumers rather than flashlight enthusiasts, they have to make the lights fairly muggle proof, and I think they’ve done a good job with that. This is one of very few high powered flashlights I would recommend to consumers without being worried about them setting their bag on fire or using multiple unbalanced li-ion batteries.

Well, it was your review that made the light bulb go on . I felt a bit silly not realizing how the lockout worked . Thanks again for the great review.

I just got one of these today on Govx.com for $155+ tax. I feel like that’s the cheapest I’ve personally seen it and I’ve been curious about this for a long time. Glad to see it’s getting good reviews here at BLF, where it really counts

Make yourself at home, Benji7420!

How’s you’re lens holding up? I read from multiple people that the TIRs are getting milky (not surface scratches, the whole lens) after sometimes even a few months heavy use.

Picked up the limited edition golden black version at a heavily discounted price a few months ago.
My only complaint which I can see showing up in your spot beam picture is the yellow/rainbow type ring affect.

I’ve not had any issues with milky lenses, but I don’t use the light heavily.

There is a yellow artifact around the edge of the spot beam’s hotspot. That is pretty usual for aspheric optics, and whilst ugly for near field use, it is not really an issue for long distance real world use.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a great review! If I could mention 1 thing.
For the love of God do NOT go into that forest! That looks scary AF!
Fantastic shots though!

That forest is pretty safe, just have to watch out for the infamous Australian Drop Bears.
