Output Levels and Runtime
The Olight Warrior Mini has 5 normal brightness levels + 1 special level (Strobo) divided as follows:

  • Turbo: 1500-500-170 lm claimed(measured1580-530-160 lm) – 4 + 205 + 55 min
  • High: 500-170 lm claimed(measured590-160 lm) – 218 + 50 min
  • Med: 120 lm claimed(measured140 lm) – 18 h
  • Low: 15 lm claimed(measured18 lm) – 150 h
  • Moon: 1 lm claimed(-) – 45days

The measured data are to be considered peak and all proved to be consistent with what was declared by the manufacturer.
Below are the runtime tests on the “Turbo” and “High” levels using the supplied 3500mAh 18650 Custom cell as a power source.

User interface
Switching on and off
Press the side switch to turn on the torch at the last stored level or to turn it off.

Change in brightness levels
While the flashlight is on, keeping the side switch pressed will cycle the levels as follows: Low-Mid -High. The Turbo and the Moon level are not part of the cycle and must be recalled via shortcut.

Moonlight mode
With the torch off, a long press on the side switch will turn the torch on to the Moonlight level of 5 lumens.

Turbo and Strobo
Double click on the side switch to access the Turbo. A further double click to exit the Turbo. Triple click for the strobe. To exit the Strobo, click once and hold the switch.

With the flashlight off, press and hold the switch for over two seconds to electronically lock the interface. Repeat the operation to unlock it.

Tail switch
The Warrior Mini has different brightness levels, to select them just press the switch in the rear lightly or firmly. Two different configurations are possible:

Configuration 1 (factory default)

  • Quickly press the queue switch to turn the flashlight on or off
  • Lightly press the switch in the queue to access the Medium level
  • Fully press the switch in the queue to access the Turbo
  • When the switch is pressed in the queue, the flashlight remains on and turns off only when it is released (Momentary On)

Configuration 2

  • Lightly press the switch in the queue to access the Turbo, release the switch to turn off the flashlight
  • Fully press the switch in the queue to access the strobe, release the switch to turn off the torch

Switching from Configuration 1 to Configuration 2
Fully press the switch and simultaneously press the side switch to switch from one configuration to another.

The body and the materials
The Warrior Mini is a tactical flashlight but also a comfortable compact and light EDC. The shape is very reminiscent of the Olight Perun although, as we can see, it also has a tactical switch (double stroke soft switch) similar to that of the Olight Warriors but slightly smaller.

The optical part is composed of a TIR lens and a cold-tinted LED of which Olight does not provide any specifications. The beam is wide but well focused, clean and homogeneous without any kind of artifact. The color is cool around 6500K.

The central body has an abundant and aggressive truncated pyramid knurling which guarantees an always impeccable grip and grip.

The belt clip is made of stainless steel, and allows you to attach the Warrior Mini to pockets and clothing in both directions. It is quite long and provides a good grip. Here is a small hole for the laynard.

The lanyard in my opinion is a little too short to easily use the flashlight after locking it on the wrist. Certainly a few more inches wouldn't hurt.

The bezel protecting the lens looks like plastic, and is slightly knurled.

The lettering is well done, clean and precise. The anodization is also excellent.

In the tail there is a double-stroke tactical switch.

Very responsive to pressure. Pressed halfway the switch is silent, pressed all the way down produces a "muffled" click.

The tail switch is also magnetic and allows you to attach the torch in a vertical and horizontal position to any ferromagnetic surface.

Through the tailcap, just like the Olight Warriors, you can charge the battery without having to remove it from the flashlight.
The tail is flat so the torch can be used in tailstanding also directly connected to the charger which in this case would act as a charging base.

Olight Warrior Mini is comfortable in the hand, grips very well. The side switch is easily detectable and operated even when wearing gloves and in total darkness, as is the tactical switch in the tail.

The threads are precise and smooth, they arrive well lubricated and are anodized so the physical lockout of the interface is allowed. There is obviously also the possibility of electronically blocking the UI.

At the negative pole (on the tail side) we find a golden spring, on the opposite side, however, there are a series of contacts that allow the recharge of the custom Olight cell. These consist of a circular contact with three small spring pins and a small sturdy spring.

The custom cell supplied (Olight ORB-186C35) is a 3500mAh 18650 and can also be used on other flashlights but Olight always recommends recharging it inside the Warrior Mini.

The side switch is rubberized, very precise. Inside, a small status LED indicates the remaining battery charge:
• Fixed green LED: over 60% charged
• Fixed Orange LED: Charge between 10% and 60%
• Fixed red LED: Charge between 5% and 10%
• Red flashing LED: Less than 5% charged

Beam, Tint and Beamshots
The Warrior Mini's beam is quite diffused, wide and bright. The spill is present and usable. Olight does not give any information regarding the LED which at first glance would appear to be an SST40.
The tint is uniform with a color temperature that to the eye seems to be around 6500K.
