[Review] Sofirn SP33S (and SP33 V3.0 comparison)

Can someone tell me why the devs created such a weird zigzag Turbo - why not a turbo which drops after x second to high and maybe flickers every y seconds if the temperature is low enough for triggering turbo again?

.

Finally, I couldn’t help myself, I bought a Sofirn SP33S.

.

6000 - 6500K, that’s also what’s available/accessible to me. This CCT isn’t my favorite, would prefer 5000K or lower.
With Nichia 519A 5000K it’d be super nice, I guess, but maybe won’t be as bright? Triple it then

SP33S XHP70.2 6000 - 6500K, the beam is smooth and quite pleasant, not disappointing at all. This 6500K is Not as cold as my other 6500K light; PD90S SFH55.

Brightness is good, seems like comparable to my TS25. SP33S has an advantage of longer sustainable high brightnes, TS25 gets hot pretty quick in high brightness.
TS25 Nichia 519A 5000K beam is definitely more pleasant to the eye.
Each with their own advantages. I like them both very much.

.

I would like to comment about it again.
This is a very nice & useful feature. It isn’t Anduril but having configurable switch LED really helps. And overall the UI is kinda good. Still prefer Anduril of course but SP33S’ UI isn’t bad at all, IMO.

Configurable switch LED, that’s what has made me chose it instead of TS26S.

This is interesting. I’m not so sure if it’s a feature or a bug

I performed this bump tests on my SP33S. Battery shaked and rattled.
But main LED stayed on, no off, no flicker.

Probably new SP33S has got an updated (shake-resistant) driver?
Or maybe battery type/brand/model/length/weight also a factor?
Anyhow, I’m really happy with its shake/bump resistance.

I use a new Vapcell K62 for it. I bumped the flashlight hard enough just like you demonstrated in your video. Positive terminal didn’t get dented.

.

This is another commendable point: completely flat tailcap, non-interfering lanyard loop.
Same as TS25. Perfect for tail-standing.
With diffusers they become very nice makeshift lanterns.
Together they kinda holding me from buying a Q8 Plus (XHP50.2 6000 - 6500K) or a dedicated lantern
