Disclaimer: I got the light for review purposes directly from Sofirn. I didn’t pay for the light and I am not paid for the review. The review is my honest opinion after testing the light.
Specs by Sofirn
What you get in the box and build quality
As always with Sofirn, the light comes in a small, white box, containing a lanyard and a USB-C cable in addition to the light.
My first impression of the light was very good. It feels premium, but if you look closer, you notice that the bezel might be plastic.
My sample has a slightly uneven painted / anodized bezel, which I somehow scratched the paint of at the edge while testing. The body is made out of aluminum and has a nice, slightly matte silver anodization.
I didn’t find any manufacturing flaws.
It’s sleek and a bit slippery, but fits my hand very well.
The button placement is good. The button itself is slightly protruding, but not too much. It’s nearly silent and has a good feel to it.
Around the button is a ring which works as battery and charging indicator
While charging, it is solid red and turn solid green when fully charged.
While discharging, green signals 100%-50%, orange 50%-10%, red 20%-20% and red breathing 10% and below.
The TIR is not protected by glass and spans over all five LEDs. It’s flat over the center SFT-25R and angled over the tiny side LEDs.
USB-C is integrated in the tail of the light and protected by a very good integrated rubber flap, surrounded by black plastic.

Carrying Options
Lanyard: A lanyard is included and can be mounted on a hole at the bottom back of the flashlight.
There is no clip or magnet.
UI
The UI is a basic e-switch UI. I would have preferred triple click for lock and double click for turbo and i don’t see a reason why Sofirn chose double click for lock. While carrying it as my edc for the review, i got used to it and can say if this is your only light, it might be fine.
Beam profile and measurements
I can’t tell how much the side LEDs really add to the beam, but at least they look kind of cool.
The beam consists of a large spot with a big corona and wide, very soft spill. I found it very useful while walking my dog and for everyday tasks. It reaches far enough while providing good light at your feet, even lights up the area of peripheral vision.
As you can see in the above image, the light exits more than 90° to the flashlight body!
DUV is positive, but not too bad. It ranges from 0,011 on low to 0,007 on Turbo.
Low:
Turbo:
CCT ranges from ~6100k on low to ~6700k on Turbo. It’s a bit hard to measure as the side LEDs are warmer than the main LED.
Flicker Index shows no Risk on all Modes, although close to the yellow area on LM III.
CRI shows 72 ±1 on the LM III
My (not calibrated, but not too bad compared to other reviewers) Lumenbox shows 1450lm on turbo, around 600lm sustain.
Regulation is perfect after the turbo drop. Nothing to complain here, nearly exactly what is specified.
High also looks flawless.
Sofirn claims 2+100minutes for the highest mode, my sample exceeds that slightly.
Summary
I don’t really know what Sofirn had in mind designing this light. It’s more of a designer piece that can be used. Maybe not for flashlight enthusiasts so much. I really can imagine it shining as a gift!
I showed it to my wife (who is not into flashlights) and she immediately liked it very much.
And it got me, too. Can’t say why, as it’s nothing special, but I like this light.
Good beam, good brightness, runtime and sustain, nice haptics. UI is ok, but I miss double click to turbo from off. Overall a very well made light with a special design and all the advantages and disadvantages of an integrated battery.
