[Review] WURKKOS HD05 flashlight, worklight or lantern! - The wing now fully adjusts!
I just got mine. It’s a huge improvement l, but the wing only rotates 180 degrees. I’d havw loved to see a full 360 or at least 270 degrees of rotarion. As it is, i have to reposition the light to get light on the other side
I have and enjoy using the HD02. The HD05 is more interesting in some ways (better form factor, rotating wing) but worse in others (I think in a light like this laser is more useful than red light).
Unfortunately they failed to address what I think are the two biggest problems with the HD02 - (i) the wings have a small but annoying amount of play in the closed position and (ii) lights should always offer discrete brightness. I got nothing against stepless ramping, but it’s SO EASY to offer the normal alternative and I far prefer a handful of well-chosen steps to the alternative. It sounds nice to have infinitely adjustable brightness (and I enjoy it in the Jetbeam RRT01) but in practice the ramping is slow and you end up annoyed every time you have to change the brightness.
I’ve been playing around with mine, and I’ve really gotten to like the UI.
My only gripe is that blinkies should be sticky. Ie, set it to beacon, then the next 3click should go to beacon, not default to strobe and make you go through all that again to get to beacon.
Afaik, only Skilhunt has sticky blinkies like in the M200.
Yeah, steps might be a nice alternative, but how to select stepped/stepless? Dunno if there’s any “standard” way.
