I have tried all the TS10 aux colors, and I like Red the best.
When I have my flashlight on the nightstand, in a dark bedroom, I like the Red aux better than Blue, because the Blue is too bright and glaring, for me. The red Aux are also much dimmer than the Blue.
When I want to fall back asleep, dim red light helps me relax.
Bright blue light makes it more difficult to fall asleep.
Red Light supports Melatonin and our Circadian Rhythm at night.
Blue light interferes with Melatonin and causes Sleep problems at night.
orange is dim like red, but I personally prefer red
On low brightness Aux, red and orange are not visible during the day, blue IS visible.
in all cases, if I leave the Aux on 24/7, I only use the Low mode of the Aux, to prevent excess battery drain caused by High mode Aux
IF otoh, you find the High mode Aux fun, I suggest you just turn them off when not in play mode. An easy way to turn off the Aux, without having to clic 14 times, is to unscrew the head slightly…
I got orange AUX as my emitter was 4000k. I am getting another one with blue AUX at 5700k. I like to match the AUX with the CCT. I do this also for my Convoys with lighted switches.
I have a red and a blue … the red is great …. The blue is a big mistake . Way too bright and a very ugly blue indeed .
Whatever you think of any color isn’t the issue . It’s about the brightness being way too bright on low .
plus :) it’s an ugly blue
I thought that orange might not be that bad of an option as far as brightness … but I have an orange diffuser and it doesn’t thrill me . Also not a big fan of using red light to preserve your night vision , but …
The clincher for the RED option is the fact it has that odd flashing mode … So as a safety flasher in an emergency situation it kind of makes sense .
Love this stupid light so maybe the 4th version ,5th,16th version might get an orange aux .
