I have a Reylight Pineapple brass with a 219c installed and a 219b on a 16mm board I want swapped. This is above my paygrade. Anyone comfortable doing the swap for me? Pill is already removed from light.
This makes me sad. I screwed up the driver on my brass pineapple trying to do a swap and Rey said he didn’t have anything I could use to replace the driver. Good call asking for help. Ah! That’s such a bummer. I see why you wanted to swap the emitter though. I have never seen tint shift so bad.

The 219c is pretty good actually, but ofcourse there are better ones

Is tint shift more evident in a single emitter? I have a 219c triple that looks great. Figured the Reylight was a bad luck of the draw.
In that case, it’s likely to be a matter of TIR vs reflector. TIRs blend the light together better, whereas with reflectors each part of the beam comes from a different part of the LED. So the hotspot is mostly light that came out the sides of the LED and hit the reflector, while the spill is nearly direct from the top of the LED.
Mountain Electronics has aaa boost drivers pulled from Lumintop lights. Perhaps you could fix your light with one of those.
