Running a vibration motor with a driver to get modes?

Hello. I want to run a small vibration motor with a driver from a cheap light. It´s one with mode and I want to see these modes running with the motor. I can get it running but I don´t know how to add the driver to get the modes. I guess I did not connect it corretcly and shortened it somhow and that´s why I only get one mode.

Can you help me with this?

I know you guys can help me : >

Interesting….I have no real clue but this is what I think:
Just connect the motor like a led, you can’t do anything wrong there…okay you could destroy the driver because it’s not made to switch an inductance or so….but that’s always the case with trying new things.

Is this a standard 5 modes driver with SOS?
Maybe the lowest mode is even driving it to fast to see any differences?

those black and red should be connected to the motor, and on the other side of the driver, the spring to batt+ and the outer ring to batt~~. did you connect batt~~? to get the nodes, you should do like in the flashlight, disconnect and connect the batt fast enough
i don’t know if its going to work, just try

If you do this, put a diode across the motor - anode to negative motor terminal, cathode to positive motor terminal.

Otherwise the inductive flyback during PWM will pop the AMC7135’s.

Hallo.

I could not get it working properly. I´m not sure if I have the right diodes. I got two different ones each for 1.5V. The motor runs, but I still cannot switch through modes.
I have no idea how to connect the diode. You said “put a diode across the motor”, diod you mean parallel or in row?

You can see a picture of the parts here:

Any idea what I do wrong here? I´d appreciate some help : )

This doesn't look like a boost driver so you might need different battery or more of them :-)

What do you need it for? 5-mode dildo? :-D

I´m not sure but I think it´s a cheap driver from a SK68.
edit: what is a boost driver?

boost= raises voltage (output V> input V) vs. buck= lowers voltage. I have never seen an SK68 or clone with a spring on the driver.

Oh yeah wait! It was from a 10USD T6-light. I don´t know which one exctly, because I took it apart and kept only the driver and the LED.
So I need a boost driver? Still, how should I connect the single parts?

connect three AAs in series or get an 18650, connect the diode between the motor terminals (stripe to the + of the motor) and connect the motor to the driver.

EDIT: I tried that for fun and it works

Why is a long cable on the motor? Have you connected the motor directly to the battery?

This driver don’t looks like it is made for 1.5V, so it won’t work anyway.

Could you please recommend all working parts from fasttech?
Especially the a correct driver and diodes and a working motor…. well, everything but the battery

Thanks

Which battery do you plan to use? Which modes do you need?

Best option would be to write own programs for the driver and use 1 or two AAs.

Vibration, my friend, vibration…
