Got my new DMM today. Very interesting. Have been doing some run time tests and now have a little more information and many new things I don't understand.
My KE-1 draws about 2A on High with a fresh cell. The Xtra from Serena is a little closer to 1.9A and the UltraFire Red pulls 2A Both were at 4.05v IIRC. However, in my C1, both cells draw a consistent 1.5A. Why would the Xtar put out lower on the KE-1?
On Mid the KE-1 draws .8A on a fresh cell. (I know this will drop as voltage drops but it is for a reference.) If my math is correct, that works out to 800mA. On a run time test it delivered 3.6 hrs on mid. This works out to 2800 mAh. Pretty good battery i think.
Now in low it draws .08A. Run time tests gave 24.75 hrs for the Xtar and 25hrs for the UltraFire. OK so 80 * 25 is only 2000 mAh. Why would the battery appear to provide less power on low? Shouldn't it be the other way around?
Thanks,
Wade
