Is there a easy way to lockout the Convoy S2+? Unscrewing the tailcap doesn’t really work unless it’s almost removed…
The S2+ has a mechanical switch. Just turning it off locks it out.
Thanks. I’m trying to figure out how to store it with a battery and to prevent accidental turn-on.
Where are you storing it? Get a cheap nylon holster if it’s in a place where it’ll be jostled a lot.
It shouldn’t be that difficult—or just remove the cell.

Piece of tape over the end of the battery. I do that to the lights that stay in my camping/hunting bags.
If you put it in a good holster, it would be close to impossible to activate by accident. You can throw it against the wall and it wont turn on.
Don’t rely on a holster for anything. Twice I had my holstered ’502 get turned on accidentally. And that’s another light with no-ano threads and no physical lockout.
For storage, yeah, a bit of paper or something between cell and spring locks it out fine.
And even lights with ano on the threads, it’s best to give it a few turns, not just a ½-turn.
Oh crud. Just ordered 3 holsters from Convoy. I do save the little round doodads that come with the lights. Thanks again e’rybody!
Your mileage may vary. The s2+’s switch is adequately recessed so it shouldn’t really be a problem a lot of the time, especially when in a holster. You could look into 3D printing a tailcap cover for it.
If you are gonna do all that, just take the battery out.
I requested metal switches on mine which they readily supplied. The silver one is a little sloppy and apparently they can’t be swapped out.
My s2+s lock out with a quarter turn.
My S2+ lockout requires only 1/8 of an unscrew for it to lockout.
I think he has the body tube turned around with the non anodized end facing the tail.
Two S2+ lights with the 18350 tubes installed, ano at the tail and slightly less than a quarter turn to shut them off.

Where did you get your S2+ from Ledhead? All of mine take barely a turn to lock them out.
Got them from the Convoy store on Ali. Both are very finicky if I try to manually lockout. Youtube
I guess the clear S2+ does not have anodized threads? Wrap some plumbers tape on the threads to insulate them.
I flipped the body but no. I think it may be a lack of ano on the threads IDK but it seems like the last thread is bare. It definitely has ano on the tail threads. I’ll try plumbers tape…
Especially if there’s little or no lube on the threads, the ano can “wear out” and still make contact.
I got a coupla lights where I gotta be really careful about “locking out” anything, because even just pushing the right way can reconnect it.
