Hello all,
I recently bought 3 Samsung 30q from Banggood after the good reviews on here. I went on to buy 4 more.
I have an Xtar SP2 WP2 charger that charges my older cells without issue.
All 7 of the 30q cells measure 3.65v on my (cheap) multimeter. None of them will charge.
Anyone have any ideas what’s going on?
Does your light work when in a flashlight??

since the 30Q are real flat tops the white insulator and thr pinkshrink foil might prevent contact on the positive side …
try a small magnet on the cell and i am sure they will charge

Like what M4D M4X mentioned, could be the contact between the charger and the battery, as thr 30Q is a flat-top

Ah, good point. I was assuming that contact was being made because the charging lights go red for a second and then green as if the cells are full but I tried the charger without cells in and it does the same. Idiot!
Right, so I need some small magnets. I tried my existing spacers and they are too big. Will any magnets work? I don’t want an indoor fireworks display!

to be sure i would stick a small screwdriver between charger and bat+ ig it starts to charge normally we have a bingo
people without fear could use a small ball of aluminum foil for a test charge…

Thank you one and all!
I was starting to think I had duff cells.
Yet again this forum has come up as a lifesaver!
