Samsung ICR18650-26F 2600mah $3.51USD with BLF for Qty 3 or more

Looking around at batteries I found this listing on Banggood's site

Qty 1 or 2 Samsung ICR18650-26F 2600mah $4.09USD before BLF code

Qty 3 or more $3.81USD before BLF code

The usual price is a 4-pack for $18.65 before BLF code

A decent name brand battery at a more than fair price.

Hmm is this a new listing? I’m suspicious because normally 26F’s say “Samsung” on the second line. That is missing from these batteries, as it was also missing from the look-alike wrappers that popped up on fasttech.

Yes, the listing that I put in the OP is a new listing with the same part number but a different Sku.

None of the Samsung listings that I have seen at Banggood say Samsung in the title. It is the listing. These are what I usually buy and they are legit.

I don’t mean Samsung in the title, I mean it doesn’t say Samsung on the battery itself.

my pack pulls say samsung sdi.
those first ones are fishy

Ok, now I understand what you are getting at. All I can say about that is that I do have had a couple of these (not from China) and they do not have Samsung on them either. Maybe their unprotected batteries do not get the Samsung? I honestly do not know. I do believe these are legit Samsungs and even for an unprotected battery this a very decent price.

The reason that I posted this is that the protected version of this battery sometimes gets tight or even long and this one is $2 cheaper than its closest competitor from Sanyo.

No doubt I love the 26F. If these are legit, it’s a great deal.

I have quite a few batteries that only had part number. I think we all have but for the dough that they are asking for these I will get a couple and let everybody know. The thing to keep in mind is that these are the unprotected version. I guess I am not gun-shy because I had a couple that did not have Samsung on them. (I just went to go look and realized that they got gifted to one of my coworkers :( )

Look at it this way. If they were not legit...then BG would credit the cost back. Hell they just did it on a charger with no questions asked and it was legit :)

Haha

You can buy these wrappers at FastTech, a 10 pack cost 88 cents!

The product photos obviosly have the "samsung" text blurred away by photoshop. Looks like an excuse to say "I never told you they were Samsung" when someone asks. The Fasttech wrapper photos also look like they have been edited(look at the first line of text just above the missing "SAMSUNG").

I recently bought some 26Fs from BG that seem legit.

Not so sure anymore. How to identify these? There's a print with some numbers faintly visible on the metal through the pink wrapper. Gonna have to try and read it.

Actually it looks like I might have bought fakes. The product title says "4PCS 18650 3.7V 2600mah Lithium Rechargeable Battery For Samsung"

For Samsung. Does not say it's a Samsung cell inside. It just could hypothetically be used for Samsung products, just like Chinese Mini USB Cables that seem identical to the original accessories are advertised "for Nokia/HTC/Samsung/etc", as in "can be used to charge a Nokia etc. mobile phone". Maybe I've been royally screwed. I thought the phrase was just some Engrish, but it is clearly intentional. It remains unclear if the intention is to deliberately sell fakes only or just prepare in case some fakes were sold in between the real deal.

If you look at the customer submitted photos they all have Samsung on them. Very odd that Banggood would go to the trouble of erasing the name then promote them as ‘100% authentic’. Doesn’t make any sense - unless it’s the dreaded MAP police issue again?

Edit: That doesn’t make sense either since this listing for the same cells sold in pairs has the name clearly visible.

Probably I was overreacting and they have a legitimate reason for editing the product photos. It does not really make sense as some products have unedited photos, but then again I'm not a China direct retailer. I guess they had their reasons.

All my Banggood 26F's (protected with added clear wrap) from 2 different batches also have "Samsung" on them and appear high quality and genuine, and perform well. So I don't really have any reason to suspect them other than the weird photos and Engrish product titles.

On the other hand, I couldn't tell them apart from something else that had the FT wrappers put on.

The listing isn’t that new, I ordered two on 2014-10-06, they look genuine. The picture is from my review on Banggood:

I just purchased 3 sets at $ 17/set after coupon code.

They reason hiden the “Samsung” on tittle and Pic to avoid the dispute after sale. For example,If customer said they got the fake battery(Even they are original )and ask refund. But,the seller can not show the authorization document. Then ,Paypal will refund the money to buyer .So,they do not indicate” Samsung ”

I just bought 3 sets at $17/set after coupon & they are genuine!
