Does anyone know the difference between Samsung ICR18650-30A & Samsung Samsung ICR18650-30B ?
I couldn’t get any info in the internet.
Does both have max 4.35v & require special charger ?
Thanks
The A version is as you say 4.35v, and it will need a 4.35v compatible charger to use it at it’s best but you can charge it with a 4.2v charger you just won’t get the battery to charge to it’s full 3000mah capacity. The B version will charge to it’s full 3000mah capacity when it has reached it’s full 4.2v charge capacity.
This Li-ion 4.2v / 4.35v charger is a great charger.
There are slight changes between Revision A and B, nothing too notable, I suspect Samsung improved the safety of the battery and tweaked some other details.
Samsung ICR18650-30A
Charge Voltage: 4.35V
Nominal Voltage: 3.7V
Discharge cut-off voltage: 2.75V
Capacity: 3000mAh
Max discharge current: 6A
Samsung ICR18650-30B
Charge Voltage: 4.35V
Nominal Voltage: 3.78V
Discharge cut-off voltage: 2.75V
Capacity: 2950mAh
Max discharge current: 5.9A
ic. So both charges upto 4.35v & need special charger for full capacity?
That’s too complicated for me to buy another charger just for this battery.
Better Panasonic then , and I can use my old charger.
