Sanyo UR18650FM, date code?

New place for date codes on UR18650FM? :~

“Old” and new cells are from Fasttech. On old you can clearly see date code “Q42A”, on new nothing.

But on new cells you have “R08C” next to cell name. On old(and all other UR18650FM I have) there is “R1122”
So is “R08C” date code?

digit 1 = year
P = 2011
Q = 2012
R = 2013

digit 2 & 3 = week

Your cells were manufactured in the 8th week of 2013.

Youre welcome. I just received 10 x UR18650FM from fasttech. All show a R15B date code = 15th week of 2013. They continue to flush their inventory and sell us the very newest supply of cells. :bigsmile:

thx, is there one place that has all this kind of info? Like all/most of the 18650 manufacturers date codes?

If there is, I havent found it yet… or at least one that keeps up with all the code nomenclature changes the cell manufacturers constantly make.

I use google advanced search for stuff like this and sort by date. If that doesnt turn up anything, just ask the forum! :bigsmile:
