SC31 pro triple mod question

So, I got a sofirn sc31 pro, and am not a huge fan of the low CRI of the SST40 emitter. Instead, I was thinking of putting a parallel triple XP-L HD (preferably 90 CRI) setup with a Carclo triple optic. Since it’s parallel, the current would be split between the LED’s, improving the efficiency. The problem, though, is turbo mode. I don’t know if it’s direct drive or not, and if it is, it’s going to triple the power, which will probably make the stock driver self-destruct. Does anyone know whether the turbo is regulated?

so, I was thinking the turbo mode was some kind of actual separate mode, but now I realized the top of the ramp can be adjusted all the way to turbo brightness or anywhere in between. Does it just smoothly switch between constant current and some kind of direct/PWM, or is it CC all the way down? I guess I have no clue how these drivers are set up.

The triple should have plenty of power from this driver but the wires would need to be longer. Gotta get the driver out.

Overall, the light is nice as it is but a different LED could be a nice mod.

There are some reviews of this light and the type of driver. You may read about drivers in numerous posts in the forum.

Will it triple the turbo power, though? If it does, that’s a whole lot of watts in that tiny of a flashlight. I suppose the real question is whether someone else has done a triple mod on a light with this driver. Maybe I should just try it and see what happens

No. Is there someone with the same username on reddit?

Yankin your chain. CRI is all they talk about over there, and most new users who come from there, CRI is usually the first thing they mention when they come here
