Did you report it ?
Yes.
The seller is still up, but so far, each account has been closed within 24 hours of a report being filed. Sadly, more are purchasing it, though a few people today have left negative feedback claiming the seller to be a scam.
update 9:30PM EST
Seller is no longer registered.
Time to see which account he comes up next on!
He’s back !
Nitecore 2450 Lumens LED Flashlight Tiny Monster w/ 4 Batteries & Charger - TM15
US $23.99
http://www.ebay.com/itm/271149780179
http://stores.ebay.com/HiRomance
Feedback of 7976 this time !
A lot of German in the feedback.
Seems to be the same listings Nitecore, Roomba, Makita batteries, etc, as last time.
I’m going to copy the listings to make it easier to find the next one (tomorrow ?)
then report it. I should charge this work to ebay, it would be simple to write a search and destroy program.
He’s making a killing.
Like the feedback he’s left for buyers:
“good lucky!”
Up until the 1st Feb, the store had only hundreds of listings of dresses, most more expensive than the fake listings - maybe a compromised account.
Reported to ebay Sun, 02/03/2013 - 23:12 my time. (AEST)
It will be interesting to see how quickly they take him down.
I wonder when the scammers catch on….how many accounts using the same scam??
How can anyone actually think they are getting a TM15 for $39.99?
if you put the ebay seller's offer on your ebay watch list and then go to your watch list, it shows this:
maybe this dealer made enough money by selling sexy clothes to Geman women and now wants to leave the business, this ebay account, with a big climax scam sale.
This last seller account (It may be the same people as so many items are similarly priced in the scams) has been for years.
I think people believe that they are getting knock offs for that price, or ‘seconds’ from the factory, so they give it a try especially with paypal’s policy.
The scammer is down. How long until the next account sells these?
He had this account since 2005.
Some of the other items for sale were also at 90% discounts and likely fraudulent. In the feedback, none of the 90% off items had any feedback results.
Within one hour of the account being revoked:

The neverending story..
The neverending story…
What stinks about the last scammer is that Ebay took down the item but NOT the seller!
Buyer beware.

Gone !
Here is something disturbing:
This seller: vintage-petticoat on eBay
was involved in the TM 15 scam, along with a few others high priced electronics in the same scam, but ebay has allowed them to keep their account.
Ebay removed the 4 scamming items only.
There is no way for customers to know that they were part of the scam. This is wrong.
I thinks the store was compromised.
There are still some suspect items showing at | eBay
but they may be cached, as clicking on them shows “Item is no longer available.”
and the dresses the store used to sell are still there.
So the legit store owner was probably not the scammer.

Can’t wait to see mine. Tracking shows no movement, I claimed refund.
UPD: Ebay is not in a hurry to refund.
We encourage you to contact your seller to work things out.
If you were able to work this out with the seller, you can close this case in the Resolution Center.
If we don’t hear back from you by Mar 22, 2013, we’ll assume you’ve worked out this issue and your case will automatically close.
So they encourage me to contact the removed seller. Great.
