Photons are light, so they are in effect slowing down light S)

Not quite. The maximum speed of light is constant. Light can travel at a maximum of about 300,000,000 meters per second in a vacuum, but it can be slowed down when its traveling through something else.
I guess I’ll just have to order more 18650s and wait for the order thread to pop up here.
