Wondering if any lights have the ability to turn on without a switch or twist, such as my wife’s cell phone can. Two chop motions and the light turns on, two more and it turns off.
Are there any flashlights that have this motion activation as a feature? I hear lots of people complain they can’t find e-switch location on the side of a light, others that don’t like twisting. I am sure folks will think of reasons to not like this approach as well.
With you requirement, i think a light with IR sensor would do the trick, particular is this Olight H05S Active. It has a IR sensor that mean you only have to wave your hand in front of the light to turn it on or off without touching anything.
The lights where power in generated by movement is not what I was referring to, but I guess it meets the letter of what I wrote. Something more like mk23 posted, albeit this is a different implementation that what I had imagined. I was thinking along the lines of an accelerometer, like someone mentioned https://budgetlightforum.com/t/-/46919 . I did not realize the Maglite XL200 used this, looks fun, but not on off control best I can tell.
