Side-by-side smaller pics or Stacked larger pics?

Qustion for you guys watching my Memorial weekend beamshots thread, before I go posting the second set of shots, since I took two for each light (left-pic centered on small tree @ 40ft, right pic at tip of trees in background approx. 100ft) would you prefer smaller 400x300 side-by-side shots like:


Or larger 800x600, stacked shots:



Either set of shots will have links to full-size pics @ 1280x960 but just wanted to know what was best for your comparo purposes. I'll see if I can set up a poll.

I'll give it til noon tomorrow and then post the shots in the format based on the votes.

I myself like the stacked larger pics but that's just me.

I also like the stacked larger pics.

But instead of pics that are 700 pixels wide, I prefer them to be 100% wide.

My two bobs worth. Stacked looks good but may change if you cant view both pictures without scrolling between the two.

In my small screen computer, both are shown as stacked up/down,

prefer the larger one.

Yep, stacked larger and set to "100% width". (But there are times when the side by sides are nice too.)

Stacked larger.

For beamshots like those you made, 700xwhatever or 800x600 is more than enough. But without any resizing, 100% “as is”. And then, we can always make a gif :smiley: (if you don’t know how, I will help you)

For people using mobile devices I usually set images stacked and 600 pixels wide. Each pic is linked to the larger resolution version if they need more detail or just want to see the larger size.

I personally hate it when I have to scroll side to side or if a pic is larger than the forum column itself.
