Sanyo 2600 are the best, but be aware of the 2800 they charge to 4.35v, at 4.2v they have less than capacity than the 2600mah.

That is the kind of clarity I needed, I would have been mystified by simply being told to buy the 2600s over the 2800s.

Do you think that the 2600s are also the choice for the Zin TD?

Brad, the Sanyo cells are the only ones I would buy. They hold their voltage better than any cell and pound for pound they are cheaper than most top cells. In a not so well regulated torch they are great because they hold their voltage, making the light brighter. In a well regulated light it is not so important, but hey they are still proportionately cheaper than the Panasonics. Put it this way 4 Sanyo’s =$20, 2 Panasonic 3400 = $17. So for not much difference you get 10.4Ah vs 6.8Ah.

i bought 6 sanyos from intl outdoor last may and they all only hold 1100mah of their original capacity… they were never abused or stored a full charge or exposed to excessive heat/cold/discharge/charge etc…

maybe i just got the unlucky bad cells of the bunch…

im not saying sanyos arent great - many members have had very good results with them, which is why i ordered them in the first place… i was rather disappointed with mine though… i ordered 2 panasonics from fast tech … maybe i will try the sanyos again when i need some more cells

anyone ever have any issues with them like this?

Man they sound like fakes. If all 6 are only producing 1100mah then they are most certainly fake cells. Have you contacted the seller?

they are from hank from intl outdoor - i didnt bother only because im sure they are well outside of the warranty and i know other members that got the same cells from intl outdoor which have no problems… still maybe he got a bad/fake batch last spring?

i still have 4 of them i use in my skyray king… they work fine in parallel … but if were to use them in a single cell config at >1C the voltage instantly drops to 3.3 volts

That’s not good mate. I would be careful with them.

yeah - as soon as i can confirm the pannys from fast tech are good (im sure they are, but just being safe) i plan on ordering 6-8 more of them and retiring the sanyos

Hank Wong of intl outdoor is the guy who refused to do anything about the switches on our Xin-TDs, and then put all of our personal information on the internet, he has never even sent us an email informing us of that exposure.

He seems capable of a lot of bad things.

Am I right in thinking he was the guy selling the Panasonic protected cells that were pretty useless for higher drains?

I don’t know, I just know that he told me to live with my switch problem on my brand new light, and that he has never notified us individually that he put all of our personal information on the internet.

I should have taken more aggressive action on that switch, it is so stiff that I don’t find the light usable in a casual way or in the way that I intended, which was one handed when carrying a pistol.

If you have a specific correction that you want to make about my two very specific, and accurate statements on intl outdoor in regards to my contacting intl outdoor to repair my faulty light, or whether they posted our personal information on the net and have not contacted us individually to let us know, then correct me.

I have received mine today, shipped 2/23.
It seems I am the first one to receive. I have paid 2/19 immediately after receiving the payment link.
There is no problems, it was in hard box, everything including the batteries is in the blister package.

First off this is a Olight I6 thread and not a battery recommendation thread. Talk about getting off topic. Second no bashing means zero .

And I’m just kidding about the battery thingy. My feelings aren’t hurt one bit.

I was under the impression that the Panasonic protected cells are some of these best batteries made. Here’s what I have been buying mostly as of late.

Quality made, compatible with 2xcr123,2xrcr123 and 18650, and batteries-holster-lanyard are bonus.

Now, the correct way the deal with the issues above… BUY MORE FLASHLIGHTS, that way you get packages in the mail all the time!
If you can remember the stuff you are waiting for. You are not doing it right. Place more orders
If you get caught up in details about if the packaged used 1 or 4 days to ship. You are not working the “place order” button hard enough. You need to get your focus straight. Place more orders!

One of them ordered 50 days ago, others between 1-3 weeks.
Fastest one is ordered 2/19, received 2/27.

Placing orders constantly do not warranty even arrivals.
