Please help me…….I need suggestions to replace my Fenix tk41……it’s a bit too heavy. I would ideally, like to replace with a single 18650……I know this might not be realistic…?
I don’t want a beam that’s too tight with a small hot spot. The Fenix seems to have a not too bad throw and flood….not too keen on the tint though. It’s basically needed to spot my old dog at distance.
Its been mentioned that the Fenix tk09 maybe a good option and possibly an armytek, I remember a while ago seeing video I think on the eagletac gc25 in neutral which seemed handy. I have no experience of any of these so if anybody could chip in with comments it would help. Never owned a twisty mode changer either.
Also would be good if it could hold around 400 ish lumens without having to derogatory down after 5 mins.
Budget would be ideally £60, would stretch to £100.
Gearbest has the new version Convoy C8 for $14.86 with free shipping. Should be over 400 lumens on medium, with a high over 900 lumens when you need it and is a VERY well made light.
The new clear version will give you the optimal performance and throw (around 65k lux) for a stock version, as it has 8x7135 chips, AR glass, DTP board, new firmware, and XP-L HI emitter. If you want neutral, go for U6 3A emitter.
Be aware that there seem to be different versions of the clear C8 depending on the reseller e.g. Banggood’s clear C8 is only 6*7135.
You can also buy modded versions of the C8 with more output from places such as pflexpro.
You can take an Eagle Eye X6
4 modes with moonlight and hidden strobe
Exellent quality for a budget light
Copper non DTP board
3 minutes 3.5A then stepdown to 1.8A
