Sipik SK68 in 3 modes and colors for 9.50 USD

I received my two sets of colored Sipik SK68s. As expected, they are not three mode. Oh well, I knew the chances I was taking.

Other than them being one-mode, I like them. There is very little wobble in the zoom sleeve, they tail-stand, and they throw fire loaded with 14500s. They also focus very well fully extended. They seem to be as well made as the UltraFire Sipik clone I have been using and abusing for the last month or so.

I also didn't notice much change in performance switching parts around.

Like vēer noticed, the anodize is a little thin. Kind of like the colorful retro aluminum anodized tumblers my Grandma used to have. Not a problem for me.

On a side note, I had an uncontrollable urge to hum Lionel Richie's "All Night Long" while checking out these flashlights. :~

Edit* Deleted dumb comment about dancing around to "All Night Long".

The photo is reminiscent of Christmas – and I’m sitting here trying to imagine the ‘twirling part.” I’d probably be too embarrassed but some year, it would be great (although unlikely) if a bunch of us could all get together to move to a little good music. “Tapping would suffice – and I’m absolutely certain that we could make a much better and much more fun “show of it” than the people over at “that other forum!”

(By the way, a colored LED lightshow would be “de rigueur” and favorite beverages would be essential.)

Who do you think would embarrass themselves first?

Ya, I know, I'm quoting myself. I ordered this 3 pack after the price went back to $24. Out of curiosity, I just checked and now the price is $22. Seriously, why can't they just keep it one price instead of moving it every other day? No, really, I'd like to know! I mean, what purpose does that serve? I totally could have gotten myself something pretty with that two bucks.

I'd be more upset if it wasn't edc's money. Thanks again, edc!

I like the blue one. I may just have to order a set and give the others away to friends.

Ok, so I had been thinking about getting a Sipik SK68 for a while, just to see what all the fuss is about. Like many of you I already have enough lights to last me the rest of my life! Big lights with big batteries, little lights with little batteries, Lithium-Ions, Lithium primarys, NiMH and Lead Acid lights. Lights with one LED, lights with multiple LEDs and lights with no LEDs! Enough lights to illuminate a High School football game, well almost. The point is I really don't need, or have a use for another light...but I didn't have a zoomy.

But summer's on the way and it's getting harder to find dark around here.

But there are rooms in the basement if all else fails!

But I have too many things to get done this spring, open the pool, clean out the barn, get the boat ready. I don't have time for this winter hobby.

But a new light would make all those chores more enjoyable!

But I really can't afford to be wasting more money on lights, I need to pay for my kids summer camp this month.

But the kids need flashlights for camp and the Sipik is cheap!

C'mon, snap out of it, you're 50 years old, stop playing with flashlights.

I was almost there when I saw this thread, wanna guess which of the voices prevailed?

Anyway, got my three pack today and just came in from playing around outside (told you there was still dark to be found) (shut up!) and I can't stop smiling. Three mode would be nice but I'd be just as happy with a simple 2 mode with a low low. And yes, they do sing with a 14500.

As far as the voice telling me the Sipik was cheap I should know by now that he lies when he wants something. A day after ordering the Sipiks I was convinced to order 12 3V Titanium Innovations CR14505 lithium primarys, and as long as I was placing that order...
