Slightly flawed brand name li-ion cells international sale

Trisky, can you give us some info on shipping breakdowns?

Hello Lazy-R-US

sorry reply u late

There are only a few VTC5 orders here, and amostly sell out

Seemingly other products, customers are not interested

Do you need VTC5?

I'm not engaged in retail trade, but can offer separate freight rates

The more batteries, the more expensive the transportation, but the more cost-effective

Thank you

Unprotected GA cells
I have seen lots of posts about cells with dings rust and that were discharged too much that were followed by BLF advice to replace them for blnit being worth the risk.
These are in the recycle box.
Since this topic proves all the normal guidance on safety of visual flawed and probably maltreated old cells can he discarded I am still waiting on how to tell if my two maltreated cells are either safe to use or can be told apart from the two good ones.
I wrote how they act.
Rather strange that such question appears unanswerable yet we must forget all solid sounding advice given in the past so some can save a few cents.
Beyond bizarre this IMHO

I like to learn but have not read why old rusted cells have become safe nowadays and how to sniff unsafe ones out.

What is the relevance where a vendor is located?

Nkon, I called the general number way after business hours and got the owner on the phone.

Several BLFers doing a WTS with cells from time to time.

Gearbest Banggood, chitty chatty here
Fasttech, others, all present.
BLFers like M4D M4X, Freeme, Trevi lux who can give links and good prices.
AliExpress, shipping everywhere.
It doesn’t take long to find new (for example Liitokala wrapped) cells from less then $2,50 a pop with shipping.

Again, where is the way to tell if an old visually flawed cell is safe?
I find it very strange to talk about paranoia without saying why the advice that has been given by many “well known BLFers” can now be discarded.

And to conclude, if there is a way to tell safe from unsafe it is in Triskys best interest to answer my questions instead of ignoring them.
:person_facepalming:
The idea responding to simple question that can e@@£nd all discussion by throwing words like paranoia to the asker instead of supporting and call the seller ignoring the question for an answer, where is that puke emoticon whebyou need it

I once got a short circuit on a 3S2P laptop pack restoration while learning to do it properly, a cell wrap got torn with a conductive copper sheet while closing the @#$% tight fitting pack case. A few hours later the laptop wasn't booting up unplugged, I knew there was a problem. The 2 short-circuited cells were still hot, but no way I was going to put the stuff at risk, I had 2 brand new additional spare cells anyway. I threw away the short circuited ones straight into a battery recycling bin.

Cheers ^:)

What's up fellows? Are those cells performing right? Sure they do, doesn't it? :-)

I've recently had some: Seems like I got a six-pack of counterfeit/fake Samsung ICR18650-30B cells :-/

Got a couple of 30Q cells from that provider and they perform. Their protected 26F codes and performance seems legit despite the ludicrously low prices they had (shipping and handling quotes raised).

Dear Trisky, do you have high voltage cells in stock? I mostly mean either Samsung ICR18650-30B or ICR18650-32A units. I am to restore a high end laptop pack, a pretty demanding application.

Cheers ^:)

For the record if anyone interested, both me and a friend ended up buying 4x packs of the “Samsung” ICR18650-26F protected cells. We also exchanged a couple cells, as I received 'em sooner and lent him some. I did not started using them until recently, here are the FAST (1A charging) test results on my Lii-500:

Two different cell types.

Unwrapped the low capacity ones recently, their 4-lobe top shape looks Chang Jiang FST to me.

By the way, did someone receiced their packages from Trisky? Are the batteries performing well?

Cheers ^:)

I bought the 26F and also VTC5 off Trisky. Received them within a month, and very well packed too.

I did take some photos of the cells I received (the VTC5 was cleaned so well they looked new to me), and also the measured capacity (using NOR mode) on my Lii-500 for both battery types, but never got around to uploading the photos on the internet. Will do so later tonight if others are interested.

And yes, I have been using the batteries on several of my flashlights, and have not encountered any problem after 3 months of use.

Photo of the package containing the 17 batteries (7x Samsung 25R & 10x Sony VTC5). Each battery is shipped in a thin cardboard box and the parcel is very well packed. The Convoy S2+ flashlight is only in there for size comparison.

Sony VTC5

Voltages of 4 random VTC5 when first put onto the charger:

Fully charged Sony VTC5 batteries using NOR mode. I only just noticed that the fully charged voltages are all slightly above 4.20V. Should I be concerned???

Fully charged Samsung 25R batteries using NOR mode.

Nothing to worry about. Chargers are rated at 4.2 plus or minus .05 so if the charger terminates between 4.15 and 4.25 it is within spec

I would like also to know what is the best and long term battery to be use for my vape. I’m looking for bateria 18650
