Small flashlight with slow flash/beacon mode?

Looking for a flashlight based on the following requirements:

  • slow flashing mode: 1x per second ideally, but no more than 2x per second
  • small form factor, so either AA/14500, 18350, or 16340 battery
  • not a headlamp
  • the cheaper the better

I think OTR M3 Pro has it (they call it beacon mode). Just wondering if there are others.

Thanks!

Thanks!

Can andruil 2 ramp the strobing speed? If so that might be your best bet.

It appears that it can. I might look into getting a Sofirn SC31 Pro with an 18350 tube. Thanks.

Wurkkos FC11C seems to have 1 Hz beacon, and can be shortened to 18350, but the access to the beacon mode is a little indirect: 3 clicks from on or off to Strobe + 2 clicks to SOS + 2 clicks to Beacon.

Thanks. Yeah, even with Anduril 2, it appears that access to beacon requires similar number of clicks. Not a deal breaker though.

Does that Wurkkos one use Anduril 2 nowadays, or still some custom firmware?

The reviewer mentioned “beacon (a short and bright flash every two seconds).” I wish it was 1 Hz.

OOOPs, I guess it is not Andruil… A light with Andruil could be set to one second…

Not exactly the cheapest, but I’m a big fan of the Nitecore LA10 CRI. Clean UI with L-M-H-beacon, and the beacon is once every two seconds. Magnet in the tail. Love it!

In Anduril the default beacon is 2 seconds…

I changed it to 1 second for this test:

the light is a Sofirn SC21 Pro, uses 16340, has built in charging, and tailmagnet.

Thanks. I guess I should have been more clear: I don’t want it to be less frequent than once per second. Between once per second to 2 times per second would be best.

Xtar SD1 is a beacon marketed for diving, might be what you’re after?
