My other home, Garage journal tools dips into LED lights from time to time, and currently the topic of the link is the new Snapon bar light, $129 and supposedly the “last light I will ever need”. Anybody here have a look at one? Whats in it, who makes it etc.?
From years of installing car stereos & electronics, the leds of today are nice and bright, and cool, keeping you from melting car parts if you aren’t careful with where you put the light inside a car. But, I wonder about the color of the led. Too bright, and it can wash out the color & markings on small wires. Making it hard to tell what you are cutting or probing. One of the reasons, I use a old school Mag C cell indy light alot of times when I am working on the inside of a car. But, I can see how this would be a cool light. Price is steep though.
