Hmm, not bad at all.
Doesn’t project The Bat Signal, but just goes from wide circle t narrow circle, almost like the S11C.
Also keeps losses lower on “fully zoomed” vs pulling the lens far away from the emitter and only grabbing a small fraction of light.
it doesn’t work like the S11C. S11C has a special zooming TIR but this F1 is just a convex lens and it does lose considerable amount of light going to the long end.
Yeh, figured as much from the front pic.
I always liked the idea of putting a stop just before the rounded-square stage on regular zommies, but…
