Sofirn HS21 mini-review

I bought this light because the features looked good. Sofirn is offering -25% off right now from USA location. So the light cost about 30 dollars including battery with free shipping and arrived in 3 days to ID. Upon testing the light and running it through the modes I like this light. We have a small farm so I constantly use headlamps. I also need red for working on animals at night. Bright lights scare the animals.

What I like:
Red light from moon-very bright
Spot light from moon-very bright
Flood light from moon-very bright
Spot + Flood from moon-very bright
Main “dial” has 4 settings (red, spot, flood, spot/flood) and allows each setting to have it own setting (any light brightness)
So I can have red on moon, spot on moon, flood on medium and spot on bright. Just a click of the dial and I have the color, type and level I want. Very cool!

Things I would change:
Rubber coat the head bracket that sits against forehead
Make on/off switch a bit bigger
Make spot a warmer temp to match flood led’s.

All in all for 30 bucks its a keeper. I now have 9 sofirn lights, lanterns and headamps. None have quit working and I like them all.

Price for UK has dropped enough for me to grab one, but there was import tax to pay on top.

I tend to take the dog out for a late walk and like a torch that throws a bit, meaning I carry something. England is chilly, muddy and slippery at this time of year so it pays to have both hands free and take a trekking pole for balance.

This sort of place, an old coach track and highwayman’s haunt is great fun at night, and more than a bit spooky.
