I ordered the IF22 and IF22A, which arrived today.
But neither of the 2 packages include any manual at all.
I know it’s possible to “guess” how the IF22 and IF22A operation works, since I’m familiar with other Sofirn flashlights.
However, it’s still good if there is some documentation? Maybe there is a soft copy of the manual for IF22 and IF22A somewhere?
I’ll try to get some beamshots when the weather becomes better here in our country.
I went out to make the video after my baby son fell asleep. The beam is so bright that the security guards came to ask what's going on right after I finished the short video. I apologized and went home. Hope I didnt disturb neighbors.
Sorry for the broken English...... Hope this video is helpful.
Nice video, Barry! In what country/city are you located?
That’s hilarious how you caught the attention of the property security team. They probably don’t even have flashlights that could approach this kind of output.
I saw another comparison video of the two models that used an open field with objects to illuminate at a long distance. Amazingly, the IF22A threw a bit farther, but with notably less spill. I prefer the IF22A. In my mind, if you’re looking for long range illumination, you don’t want the distraction and lumens waste of much spill. A little bit is good, though, which is something you don’t get with LEP. Considering how it’s so easy to have a small EDC for short range illumination, you pack that to fulfill needs of spill and use the long range thrower for distant illumination.
Thanks for the video.
Your English is Good, no problem understanding!
And you did much better than I would do trying to hold phone in one hand and run flashlight with other and keep the video in frame.
Really like that IF22A, when will it be in USA Amazon shop?
I also got my IF22A today, but also had no Manual in the box. The UI is similar to the IF25, but not exactly. Does the If22a only has 1 Strobe Mode ? No Sos,Beacon & Pulse ?
Thanks !
Im really Impressed so far from the If22a. Great Edc Thrower !
A 2700k version would be great aswell, but i dont think the led comes in 2700k what a shame
Finally ordered the IF22A from https://sofirnlight.myshoplaza.com/. Sure looks like the 5 deg tir optic has unique advantages with a bigger hot spot and far less flood brightness. I haven't seen or heard of a tir optic outperforming a SMO reflector of the same width in throw, maybe it's out there, but it's hard to get a good head to head comparison.
