Hello everyone. Here is my review on Sofirn IF23. Thanks for a good place to share content. And if you like my vdo please subscribe .
I fully admit that I bought this light to have a green glow stick-type device that I could put a normal-sized li-ion battery in. I have been very underwhelmed with the green Krill and green GloToobs, neither of which come close to replicating the green Cyalume glow sticks we had in the 1980s.
My only real complaint is that there are no brightness settings for the colors on the sidebar. They are 100% at all times, which seems like a major oversight.
Hello sir. Agree with your point sir. And I think there should be memory function of the last used mode. Thanks for watching sir.
Great review, as always. I agree with your evaluations. This is a light that could be better. The tint of the 50.2 is pretty bad on my sample. Very green. The auto lockout is annoying. I will vouch for its robustness, though, as I’ve dropped the light (twice) from a height of around 6 feet onto the concrete floor of my garage with no functional impact (pun intended). The tailcap magnet is pretty weak IMO.
I always appreciate reviews that have extensive beam shots, presented in a consistent settings from review to review.
But there’s a typo in the spec card at 3:19 (“Floodlight: 5000 lumens”).
The tint on my example is fine, on the lower end of the specified (5700-6500K) range. Does have the typical green shift of the larger Cree emitters, though not as bad as the one in the video portrays.
I haven’t noticed any audible noises yet.
My unit came with a flat-top 21700/5000 cell, like in the past, not a button-top. Slightly odd, considering the concern over the compatibility of the flat-top 18650s Sofirn has shipped lately with their lanterns, and the potential damage their contact rings may inflict on the wrappings. Supply issues, perhaps, but an unexpected flip of the script that was working fine before.
If given the choice, I’d dispense with the auto-lock (as well as the cell polarity markings), but it’s not as annoying to me as something like a base UI that utilizes hold-for-off.
It may be damning with faint praise, but given their history, and the additional complexities of a dual-channel light, I think they still did a pretty decent job with the UI, though I do expect to encounter some bugs that may not have been noted yet. I would not have been surprised with a worse outcome.
Hello sir. I agree with some of your points sir. Thanks for watching sir .
Hello sir. Sorry for my mistake about floodlight lumens. Overall, it’s a useful flashlight. Thanks for watching and sharing your experience with this flashlight sir.
