Sofirn IF30 Spotlight or floodlight?

Sofirn kindly sent the IF30 for review.

It is kind of like a slim version of the Wurkkos TS32 where the emitters have changed, it has a rotary switch, and it has a single 32650 cell.

The 32650 cell seems to be degrading each time I perform a Turbo runtime test…

Just received this light yesterday and after using it today, had to return it. I have no idea
what Sofirn was thinking when they programmed a 12-15 second time out on the autolock but
it was just too annoying to deal with. It’s a great light in all respects other than this ridiculous short
time out. Then to make it even a more annoying, you have to rotate the wheel on the power switch
clockwise only and, be sure you do not exert downward pressure on the switch while doing so or, you will only trigger the dbbl flash notification that you are in lock out mode and have to try again. As stated above, I cannot figure out why Sofirn decided to go this route as on my other Sofirn’s that also have autolock functions, not only is the timeout of a much longer duration, all you need to do is give a quick dbbl tap on the power switch to disable it. As one who was in law enforcement for 24 years, I would never give thought to using this light in any kind of a tactical situation because, when you need light in an emergency situation, you need it immediately, not several seconds later after playing with that asinine wheel so there was no reason to keep it.
