Won’t your own tube work ?

And it has a place for a clip if I see it correctly.

Release it with long tube and for a small fee include short tube and later sell the short tube with clip
but for BLF members release it now with short and long tube for half price
and we later buy the short tube with clip
Congrats to the winner but why there is difference in paper size ![]()
Awesome! Thank you, Sofirn!
I thought the same. Unfortunately I couldn’t find it anywhere in my box with flashlight parts.
Not sure if it makes sense to create a new SKU just for a short version instead of simply offering as an optional accessory.
Unless they’re willing to put that great spiral knurling on the short tube! (But then I personally would want them to just offer it for sale separately, so I can get them without a light I have no use for )
Otherwise, yes, I’d see no reason for another product #, just complicates matters for everyone.
If nothing else, add $2 to the cost of the light and just include the existing black short tube for all of them.
Congrats to winna
Huzzah to sofirn
Lol, well, I never entered this one, so thanks for the chance anyway Sofirn, that was a cool surprise!
Congrats @JohnnyMac
Nobody asked, but here’s the answear - Wurkkos FC11 short 18350 tube also fits SR12
Take Your time and make short tube available with clip ![]()
Well, I’m just running the turbo test and it sits at 800+ lumens for around 15 minutes and then drops to 560 lumens. This is not great at sustained output, even less than the SR12 at 675 sustained. The SR15’s head is 51°C at 30 minutes in. I had hoped to see 1000+ lumens
I have to say that the SR15 isn’t a light I’d ever use, the low sustained output and the beam profile kill it for me.
I think that’s what’s going on, it’s not the centre peak but the low points where the light is crossing over. Thanks to @TUIG101 for the photos to help me understand.
This photo above shows there’s 4x notches at the low points, maybe these are the lines in the beam profile show below? I don’t really understand what’s going on, I don’t know much about optics.
How I’m holding it in the first photo matches the wall beam profile.
Thank you so much for your suggestions, we really appreciate it. But I’m a little confused, it’s kind of hard for me to understand.
Hi BLFers,
As we approach 2025, we are excited to share a newly released video of the SR12 flashlight on our YouTube channel.
In this video, we showcase several times destructive tests that the SR12 underwent. While you can clearly see the scratches on the surface, the flashlight continues to function perfectly, demonstrating its incredible durability and performance. This test really highlights the strength and reliability of the SR12, proving that it’s built to withstand the toughest conditions while still delivering exceptional performance.
Happy New Year and thank you so much for your continued support of Sofirn! We are excited to continue serving you with more high-quality flashlights and excellent service in 2025 and beyond. Let us welcome another year of innovation and reliability together!
To celebrate the New Year, we are holding a GAW
Giveaways: 1 * SR12
The entry rule: Leave the comments in this post
Deadline: January 5, 2025
We’re just trying to figure out what causes the beam petals and how to eliminate it. The ray diagrams were my hypotheses as to what’s happening, but likely not quite correct. I believe now that @TUIG101 is right in his explanation: https://budgetlightforum.com/t/the-sofirn-sr15-official-batch-available-now-merry-chrismas/226801/125
It looks like the partial OP suggestion won’t work and spreading the emitters a little farther apart may do the job.
Wow, that is actually quite impressive!
And the FC11C clip fits the stubby arrangement too. 5000K emitter could be an upgrade worth waiting for.
I would like to take a walk with this flashlight)
My if24 needs a companion
LOL at smashing it out of the ice block using another flashlight. ![]()
I like the size of the SR12, its a nice pocket thrower. Thanks for the GAW !!
Of course you have to test your lights to the bone before you sell them, but to see it happen actually hurts a bit.
Like a man beating his wife, just to show his friends how loyal she is to her husband.
I’m glad no animals were harmed in the making of this video.
NOT in this one, because I already have won a Sofirn SR20MINI this year.
I wish you guys at Sofirn a lot of happiness and good fortune in 2025 ![]()
