Awesome! PM’ed. Can’t wait to check out another ring light. Thanks again for the GAW, @Sofirn!

Congratulations to the winners!

Does that mean that we will see a buck driver version in the future?

Damn… a little harsh thing to say on a giveaway post.

1 Thank

You know the saying. Don’t look a gift horse in the mouth.

How so? A review takes me 15+ hours, am I not allowed to be disappointed?

This isn’t a straight giveaway though, it’s for testers to provide feedback or review. It’s also for general discussion about this new release, otherwise it would include giveaway in the title.

Wow, thanks! I’m looking forward to it. I’ll send a PM now.

Just saw the post, AWESOME!!

I’ll send ya a message right now, thanks!

Received my SK1 review unit and either the e-switch or code needs fine-tuning. The switch requires a 0.5 sec hold and release to turn off, press it fast and it’ll just cycle levels. Thought it was faulty at first. Kind of annoying to use as is.

It’s a two stage e-switch, half press cycles levels, with a full press to turn on and off. It doesn’t register the full press if it’s too fast.

Thanks for the update.

I haven’t received my unit yet, but it’ll see how it behaves when it does arrive and report back.

Hello BLF folks,

We just received a batch of XHP70.3 HI 5000K LEDs from Cree supplier. When we test exchange the main light LED to IF23Pro, the turbo output 4000 LM and distance 280 meters.
The original version emitter is XHP70.3 HI 6500K with turbo output 5000 LM.
Should we add the new 5000K option for IF23Pro?

  • XHP70.3 HI 6500K enough
  • XHP70.3 HI 5000K better

Yes, please use 5000K or 4000K even better.
For this kind of light, I prefer a regulated output than throw.

Add Anduril for the next future project please.

Is it higher CRI ?
80 ?

1 Thank

6500K washes out too much color. 5700K is where the thresh hold for color start looking right too my eyes. 5000K, and Pink, Yellow and softer tones start looking real again.

Why not just make both options available? Some people worry about CCT. Some don’t, or just think that maximum output is more important. Having the choice would be the best for both groups, Yes?

3 Thanks

Got it! Can’t agree any more. Let me feedback to SOFIRN factory immediately.

Dang! There are two options 70CRI and 90CRI. But they didn’t told me which one choose

Ja, that’s ture. You so subtle for color.

SOFIRN factory can only produce a limited number of goods at a time. The community voting will determine the proportion of two options.
