Haha it’s honor to hear that. I hope it buck driver too. But SOFIRN engineer told me it come with PWM first for stable produce.

I’d much rather have strobe setup as a half press after full click. Setup half press from off as momentary turbo, full click to constant turbo or high, then half press from on to strobe.

A new thinking. We only setup the tactical mode with momentary turbo on half press and momentary strobe on full press. Let me feedback it to SOFIRN factory

Looks interesting. Is that SFT25 5000K or 6500K? I’d like to see the rotary ring in some general purpose lights.

I like the use of the rotary ring switch. I’d love to see more lights with it.

Not a fan of the tactical mode, but at least it can be avoided with the ring selection. I’d also prefer a 5000K high CRI emitter, but I suppose that isn’t relevant for “tactical” lights.

Hopefully a more EDC version of this light can be updated with different specs. Thanks for innovating and for the GAW, @Sofirn !

Yep, the Lock Mode and Tactical Mode both momentary. If loose the button. It will turn off

Love to see more rotary switch lights. Hopefully the tolerance on the ring isn’t too loose otherwise it feels rather tacky. I’m wondering if the tactical mode could be more physically locked out such as lift the ring before rotating it to that direction. I’d hate to accidentally rotate it to tactical mode and strobe. Also wonder if the tactical mode should have fully press to turn on turbo then press and hold for strobe. I’m not sure how often strobe is used and if it’s something to be kept on long term. Half presses can be finicky after all.

Got it! The tolerance on the ring I feel comfortable. I bet you will enjoy it
And don’t worry accidentally rotate it to tactical mode and strobe. The tactical model and lock mode both mementary light. So you can turn off the light easily by rotated the ring.

Wow, that looks really great! Momentary low and memory sounds good, also great to see an easy to reach lockout. The beam of the SR12 was fantastic, I guess this will be very similar. Does it have a buck driver? Would really like to try this flashlight.

The tactical mode and lock mode you should hold press or it will only momentary light.
Also, we try 2 plans of duty mode and one is 2xclicks go turbo. But we found it will cause click slow operation. Let’s investigate how many people prefer 2xclicks go turbo lol

Seems like an interesting light. What price range do you see it being sold at?

I suppose it the price probably $35 to $40 with battery. Low than SK40 but high than SR12

The light will turn off always if rotated ring to change the modes.

Good to see SFT25R - 5000K version would be great! - and AR coated lens. UI seems OK on paper, but I would like to know how it works out in practice.

I feel good enjoy on my handheld walking or mementary test. I bet you will like it soon ; )

I wonder if Sofirn has considered or tested a TIR optics with this light? Also, it looks like the light has a single tail switch (and the mode ring), but no side switch? May be a good thing, simplifying the UI, but I’m still a sucker for side switches, ‘tactical’ or not.

Dang! I doubt you’ve watch our Next Version planbook. I’m going to ask try the TIR version in the future. The side switches is classic and useful. We wanna try the unusual way too ; )
