The SC31pro is easy to modify with 20mm diameter TIRs from Convoy, using a slightly smaller diameter O-ring and leaving out the glass lens, so keeping the same reflector length/diameter would mean everyone can modify it (see my post on doing that) but my suggestion is to by default use a 519A 4000K which is the colour temperature many people who are not experts don’t realise they want, a near optimal middle way.
Other things:
- I wish the sharp edges were removed, esp. at the hole for the lanyard
- Colour options: I dislike most colours of most manufacturers that give me the impression of metallic/glitter: red, blue, etc. The ones I like are proper red/blue, such as Firefly lights makes (at least it seems these colours are nice, better than others, from pictures), and Wurkkos with the dark blue (TS10 Max) which on pictures looks fantastic. I don’t like most grays either. Skilhunt has a nice gray with the E2A for example. If you can make any of those colours I’d like a few of those. If not then black is fine.
- keep anduril/programming pads.
- keep the button as is (in size/light/button press action). Perhaps make it go orange below 20%, red below 5%.
