Reflashing should work fine from a Mac. The relevant tools can run natively there. It needs a new usb dongle and pogo pin adapter though, and I’m not sure what the status is for those.
About the ETA, I don’t have an answer, but hopefully soon. Sofirn finalized the hardware a while back, and received production-ready firmware a few weeks ago, so I think it’s just waiting on verification and production. They’re a bit busy with holiday sales though; looks like the SP10 Pro missed that season.
The firmware is Anduril 2 from about a month ago. So it should be at least that recent, if not newer.
I’m on a Mac, too. the README at GitHub - mkong1/anduril should cover most of what you need to do for Mac, and there are also bash wrapper scripts to simplify.
Prototype of SP10 Pro is available. The ramping is really smooth, much better than previous firmware! We are going to start trial prodction. Will send to TK for testing after that.
Hopefully the 5000k R9 is much better than the LH351D 4000k bin that Manker used in E14III. My sample had a green aura, mostly noticable indoors, and easily corrected with lee minus grn filter. I really don’t like using filters if avoidable. Ended up gifting that light
I also had that light and have many others with the LH351D 4000k and it was the worst I have ever seen. All the others have been not too bad but that one was “oh H* No” from the moment I first hit the switch.
slicing the dome off LH351D lowers the DUV by about 0.0030, and about 500K in CCT. It also reduces output, and narrows the hotspot.
The reason I usually changeout LH351D is the R9, Red output. The LED is a 9050 nominal CRI… I prefer higher R9, which is why I choose the 9080 LED options instead, such as 219b and SST-20.
The only time I stay w LH351d, is when I cannot get a clean beam with a smaller LED… This difference is the reason I put unshaved LH351d into V11r, instead of 219b. I suspect the SP10 Pro will have similar beam issues w 219b… but I hope Im wrong.
