I got to the payment page after selecting 2 items and clicked “buy”, then went back to previous page again to email Aliexpress by clicking email button since I didn’t see an email button on the “place order” page.
I did not enter credit card number.
They responded “You need to make an awaiting payment order first.”
It appears I did not take the process far enough. The next step would have been to enter credit card # and click “place order”.
What am i missing? I told them I need step by step instructions, simply stating “make an awaiting payment order” is not helpful.
I like the idea of getting price discounts but without a convenient BLF discount code and having a not-so-straight-forward process instead, I don’t know about this whole thing.
When I purchased the BLF X5/X6 Group Buy on Banggood a few years back, the process was so so easy. Not this time.
Aliexpress should at least put a link to some step-by-step instructions like “select items to purchase, click this button, click that, go to email button at this specific location on this page, now wait for discount price, then put credit card #, then click ”place order”, etc…
Why doesn’t Aliexpress setup the web page properly - meaning in a conventional manner? And why don’t they make another kit with the HD batteries? So many whys.
Edit: I just figured out my mistake using the link a few posts above. Problem was the “other payment methods” button was not showing so didn’t know where it was - why is it hidden? Anyway, found it.
Mine has really shipped this time couple days ago, according to the “qidong yang” person... There already is real tracking info from the tracking # of the order, so is probably legit this time.
Jason's is probably shipped DHL or some other expedited means, so he should get it quicker than I.
i did consider it but I need those HD cells. Hoping for a discount on shippping charges for the batteries but I am ordering 4 batteries which means 2 need to probably ship on their own since they can only put 2 inside the light.
I will ask them and see.
If I have to pay for shipping on 2 batteries, that is almost the same as the cost of shipping on all 4.
No real need to buy the light with the cells Dude, you can get cells from Illumn, Li-ion Wholesale, IMR Batteries, 18650 Battery Store, The Vape Shop, Mtn Electronics…. no shortage of where you can get top cells when you’re in LA.
Thank you for your list - I did look over their offerings and prices just now. Sofirn’s prices look really good for what they’re claiming and their new black wrap 18650 batteries got good reviews so this should increase our confidence in their new black wrap 26650 HD batteries, sort of. I guess we’ll eventually find out for sure one way or another.
I was going to say the same, but after checking Illumn, Li-ion Wholesale, IMR Batteries and Mtn Electronics I realized that they didn’t have any “good” offerings in stock. By good, I mean able to be used in series without solder blobbing (I doubt Cncyana can add them). Also cells that I know will work well.
I think the Basen 4500mah is a good high drain cell, but I’m not positive. I’m always wary of Efest. Some are just really expensive for some reason.
It really does look like it would be cheaper to order some known good 26650 cells from overseas.
Maybe it would be best to order the Shockli 5500 from MTN and then also order a spacer disc to go in between them.
It really is a pain to find 26650 cells in the US that can work in series. I bought some Aspire 4300 locally for my L6, but they aren’t in stock by anyone at the moment.
PS, are 18650 Battery Store and The Vape Shop legit sellers?
Do the iJoy 4200 connect in series? The Vape Store has that one.
Do the Vapcell 5500 connect in series? The 18650 battery store has that one.
Some of them do work in series, but it is a random thing. So count on having to solder b(. )( .)b or use a battery connector like I posted a couple of days ago if you get these.
Look at those cheap prices. $3.43/battery if you buy 10 of the black wrapper batteries. However, the “50A” is NOT the current rating; its the part number.
One of the light blue wrapper batteries with the 50A in its title is rated at 15A in the description.
