SOFIRN Torches

Hi guys,

I contacted Sofirn a couple of years ago, about their SP338.
(I know these will be cheap for you guys).
I asked if it had a genuine CREE XHP 70.03 in, & they said No, it contains a CREE XHP 70.0.
At the time, I decided to go ahead.
1/ Now I see it has a GB 70.00 led ! (too late to do anything about it, but as I’m writing about Sofirn, just thoght I’d add it)
2/ As you will be aware, these items went on the blink (no pun intended) in that after charging, the green warning LED stays on, & runs the battery right down.
Of course, there has not been a reply from them, & it looks like they’ve gone down the pan (or changed names !!).

I don’t think it was just this model, & wondering, Did anyone find the fault ?
Can it be ‘repaired’,

Looks like i’ll be looking for a new torch - for general & emergencies etc.
I’m a disabled pensioner so my budget is limited - so what do you guys recomment ?

cheers from a newbie

OK, lemme try it.

There is no SP338 - you probably mean the Sofirn SP33S, right?
But this light has an original Cree LED in it.

The green LED in the switch stays on so you can find the light at night. These LEDs don’t draw much current, so don’t worry about them running your batteries down.

The light in the switch should be switchable.
I found this List for the UI:

The “A” means “On”.
It’s translated from german and it got a bit wrong: [Review] Sofirn SP33S | Taschenlampen Forum
4H means you click three times and then hold the button down after the fourth click. 1C means just a single click and then no holding down.

2 Thanks

WB, furkin!
