I could really use some of the brain horsepower found around here. This topic has been addressed before, but it didn't get anywhere.
Can someone explain how Solarforce claims 3.5 hours runtime on an R5-XP-G LED at 100% on a single 18650 battery, details here. (Link to SF Sales, drop-in page).
I just don't have the electrical background to understand.
I bought one, and ran it on high, but only got about 55 minutes runtime before shut-off from a new SF battery. Why aren't I getting 3.5 hours run-time?
It would be nice to have way to compare P60 runtime specs for different P60 dropins.
I have some Solarforce XM-L and XP-G as well as ultrafire XML and some NANJG modded XML so if we could agree on a relevant testing method I would be prepare to share my test results.
I have a CC /or CV PSU and some DMMs which might be a better method than using a 18650 battery?

- Compatible for : Solarforce L2 L2M L2x L2P L2i L2r (fit for all L2 Series)
Well , quite frankly I dont know where they get there figures from .
But owning some 4 of there low voltage drop ins . I can say the current draw is not set in stone , highest may pull up to 1.8A [ 18650 ] and lowest 1.2A [ for the ones I own ] , but as the battery voltage drops so will current .. [ Variable ]
So . we have Chinese Lumens , Chinese mAh battery capacity , and now Chinese run time ?
