Solarforce L2p Battery options

Hi all, great forum for flashlight advice. With the advice on this forum I have ordered some sipik 68’s, a DRY NW, and a grey L2p to be used with a 3 mode 3A NW P60 from intl-outdoor. I’m living in Uganda so I’m yet to receive any of these, but they will be appreciated when they come. We get daily power outages and also, lights help with security. For now I’m making due with a Coast hp7 a friend gifted me.

I was just wondering if battery options for L2p excluded some batteries. I’ve ordered 6 protected panasonic 3100’s to work in the DRY NW. Can someone confirm that these batteries can also be used in the L2p?

Thanks for your help

You shouldnt have a battery issue with your L2P as it easily takes protected and unprotected 18650’s.

So, Is it true what they say? You know in Uganda?

Um, Cannibalism?

Im just kidding. From what i understand he just tasted he didnt eat he’s wife.

Haha, no offense. At least now I know I can use the l2p to see the ones eating me.

The comment does seem somehow ironic though with the cannibalism stories coming out of US and Canada lately.

I would get some other cells for the L2P. Better only use cells with same number of cycles in multicell lights. Also, cells like the XTAR 2600 will give you less total runtime but more time at full brightness.

/edit: I'm from Germany, no cannibals here. :)

Welcome to the cool kids' club, Eggpattern!

Now now, Deutschland has its share of cannibals such as Armin Meiwes, but we definitely have our share J)

Any 18650 should would but the one I wouldn’t exactly recommend would be the Xtar 2600mah battery. They are a bit thick and it is hard to get them into or out of the L2p.

Thanks for your help all. Your input is very much appreciated.

I heard the HiMax cells were supposed to be even thicker, but the fit pretty nice in my L2P.. guess it varies.

I had something to say that I thought might be funny in response to something one of our teutonic friends posted. It was, however, a very tasteless and off color barbecue reference. So, I’m going to censor myself and just say, “Welcome to BLF, Eggpattern.”

“Welcome, eggpattern.” Hope you stick around & share.

Keith

Thanks Keith. BTW Michigan is my home state!
