The first one is a Black 2AA LED Mini-Mag, with a 3.5 amp NANJG driver (L/M/H), an XM-L T6 3C LED and a 15 degree TIR optic. It uses one 14500 Li-ion (not supplied) and a Dummy cell (supplied). Comes with a Holster.
The Second one is the 2AAA Red Mini-Mag, with a CREE XP-G LED and TIR optic, Direct Drive. Uses a 10440 Li-ion (not supplied) and a Dummy cell (supplied). I had to make a special dummy cell, so that the OAL will be right. I think two primaries will be too long. That's due to my error in the center post length and the dummy cell corrects that issue, but requires a 10440 to work. No Holster, but it has a pocket clip.

I have tried it on two AAA nimhs and it's dim. With three it's bright, so with a Li-ion, it should be bright.
The “pill” requires boring out the head in a LED Mini-Mag. I have not done any drop-ins, due to the fact the head has to be bored. It’s not as easy as a simple drop-in.
The pill in an Incan could be a "drop-in", but it's so small, I would not want to put an XM-L in it. Just Nichia 219 or XP-G, direct drive. I have done XM-L, but I think it's too much for such a small heat sink.
Other modders do it all differently. You might look at the modding section and read about match or rufusbduck. I think they do it a little different.
That AA looks like a likely candidate for a chop job! A single 14500, at something close to a 1000 lumens, pretty sweet! Justin, do you think that 3.5A driver has the T6 up around 1000 lumens? Gotta be pretty close.
I don't know if a 14500 will give the driver 3.5 amps. Maybe an IMR, but even if, it would probably be for just a very short time. Also the TIR is probably eating about 12%-15% right off the top. I think, on an average, TIR optics are about only 85% to 90% efficient a getting light out the front. It's very bright, but I would not want to "estimate OTF lumens".
OK I must admit that I didn't like Mag lights at all, but, seeing what Old-Lumens is doing with them make me change my mind.
Now I ordered mini maglite (2xAA) and I am hoping that I will be able to moode it. I have no lathe or mill or any other proper tools :D should be interesting :P
