Some driver advice for SST 90 and MTG2 needed

OK pinkpanda send me a MTG2 light
I want to use that in the Jaxman Z1 host
So I need a driver to make it and me happy.

Also in the box was a SST90
I am thinking about putting that in my Courui D01

China vendors please since shipping is killing US deals

And the SST90 is on a copper square board
I found a round ALU board for it on kaidoman but hmm ALU
So I can just dremel it round right? Or is there a round star I can reflow it on?

Thanks in advance

SST90 fits in Noctigon mt-g2 board if i remember right (wait to confirm this) .

What driver accepts Jaxman ? Will you use mt-g2 with2 cells right ?
edit : I wanted to ask driver diameter of Z1

It is 22mm if I am correct on the Z1

The Courui is a b#tch with 38,5mm :frowning:

For the Z1 i could make you a 17mm zener modded fet driver and use it over the 22mm board.
As firmware i normally use 5 modes with no blinkies , or i could try the new biscotti(mini bistro) firmware .

Don’t forget our friend 3tronics in the UK.

You could also use the ld2 driver.

Thanks for the input.

The SST90 is so old, I would expect lots of drivers for that.
All I can find is 1 with a big square PCB on it making it very tall.

Ah yes issue with 3tronics is also shipping and £-€ conversion making it very expensive

The LD2, hmm let me look again at your topic Thijsco

For MT-G2 there is also this option :

Ah that looks good thanks.

Giorgos I am sending you a pm later!

Anytime !

Just ordered this one. Thanks for the tip.

I have been googling but cannot find if the SST90 can be reflowed onto a MTG2 board.
So for that I’ll just cut the square down to fit.
Still no driver though but it is a 3V led capable of high amps so a fet driver fitting would be awesome I think.

I have reflowed several SST-90 emitters onto Maxtoch 26mm MT-G2 MCPCB's. It is possible to do and have it work. The SST-90 doesn't do much justice till you get it close to 10 amps. At low amps it is not impressive. Just my thoughts.

Thanks!
Now let me start with the reflow then and if that works I’ll need a driver that pumps out lots of amps
I think TA has a driver board designed to fit the Courui
That is for fet
