Sometimes, it's not the big Lumen numbers that Matter

Very inspiring story,

Great young girl and her vision.
Flashlights CAN change the World

Very nice invention!
That could really be a life saver and is very awesome as an emergency flashlight.
It probably won’t put out a lot of light, but when everything else fails, some is better than none.

Edit: I now see they mention 24 lumens. Should be sufficient.

I wonder if she tied it in with a joule thief, she is using a Seebeck generator (thermoelectric) plate (peltier) to make electricity

In the video she never mentions it, could help kick up the available volts to make the light brighter

Same principle behind the BioLite, but with alot less heat

Either way...that is WAY cool!

Copper mou… Okay okay …I wont.

Very cool story, they should include these with the drinking straw that purifies water.

Drinking straw can be packaged in the hollow aluminum tube for shipping ;)

I was gonna say that your statement is sacriledge, but this is a really neat article.

Video does not show in Your location :frowning:
Any Youtube -link to it?

Just found it:

Ingenious. 24 Lumens is impressive.
