STARTED: GBGB: Stainless steel AAA clicky with a clip (CQG S1 "clone")

will a efest 10440 work with this light without adding a solder blob?
anyone have est. lumens on a 10440?

Not optimal host for high output. Thin stainless steel.

It will as there is springs on both ends. About 300 lumens on high I guess, wouldn’t run it for more than 2 mins

Ok I will try one thank you

hey there, do you have pics on how to open the tail cap? I dont understand the instructions clearly and i need to open the tailcap of my light because its broken.

Sorry no pics, but here’s some alternate instructions:
-start with the tailcap on the flashlight but with no battery inside
-push really hard on the button to force the switch out the tailcap
Your thumb is probably too wide to push the switch, so use an object that won’t scratch the button, like a narrow wood or plastic stick.

Note, that you might not need to fully remove the switch to fix your light, just slide it out a little bit. On these lights it is possible for the switch to slide too far into the tailcap so that the clicky mechanism doesn’t have enough room to properly open and close.

Wow. Thanks for the tip! Finally fixed it. This light gets another year in my pocket :D
