I am going to list purchases where I didn’t have any additional expenses.
Rey(light)
Loop
Klarus
Wurkkos
I had to pay after ordering from Hank (sent with 4PX), and I found an explanation for that on Reddit.
Its weird because in Poland never anyone had to pay customs for Hank orders.
To add to the list, Nealsgadgets use YunExpress which i believe are also with prepaid fees. FireflyLite since about 1 year too, Kaidomain also use it.
Thank you for adding those. i might order few in the future.
Has anyone ordered from JLHawai?
Even if sent with 4PX?
Yeah by 4PX, I only had to pay funny customs with FEDEX fast shipping/order over 150$ like 10-15$ fee ![]()
Not sure exactly what happens with Yunexpress and 4X but yes in some countries there are no customs cleareance fees nor VAT at delivery, while no VAT was charged at payment thus it’s not IOSS, so they must do some tax evasion schemes, maybe bundle packages together and declare very low values, and whatever litle they have to pay they pass it to the seller as a ”no tax shipping” service.
I’ve ordered multiple lights from Hank, shipped by 4px to Germany, and the import formalities and fees were always taken care of. Never had to pay import duties.
I ordered from JLHawaii to Germany. He sent via USPS and I had to pay import duties and fees. At least that was handled on the doorstep by DHL as the last mile carrier, so I didn’t have to go to the customs office.
Purchases I’ve made from China with no additional import fees to Germany were:
- Aliexpress (a few times)
- Sofirn (3 times)
- Wurkkos (4 times)
- firefly-outdoor.com and ff-light.com (6 times)
- intl-outdoor.com (many, many times)
- Nealsgadgets (twice)
Edit: forgot nealsgadgets
Banggood.
Hi. Were some packages over 150 euros? Did the package come directly without the need to make a customs declaration? No tax or duty was paid anymore? Was the price in the store final at the time of purchase?
None of my packages from China were over €150, and none needed customs declarations, at least not from my end.
The price paid at checkout was the final price and there were no import fees or duties.
