Thanks again to what I’ve learned from this forum I was able to replace the xp-g in my Streamlight Protac with a 4500 Nichia 519a. I boiled the light a few minutes in a plastic bag and was able to twist the head off. The driver and LED unthreaded out and there was a white spacer over the LED. I only had to un solder in remove that PCB. I have some 14 mm boards with LEDs coming, but I got impatient so I used the stock board and reload the 519 A onto it. On my first try, I did not have good contact but watching the video in this forum I took the LED back off and make sure I had it in the correct orientation and it did work. I really like this light and now I like it a lot better with this emitter.
where might i find a board for this? i love my streamlight (same as yours) but the tint is so cree. i cand lo LED swaps except for the whole mcpcb. it would be glorious for me to throw maybe a 25r 5000k from simon in here, or a 519a like you did.

Edit: My original 1L-AA will only take AA’s now, the contact for CR123’s broke after 5-6 years of AA use. This will be a good opportunity to get in there to fix it!
