suggestion needed : need to buy 4-5 lights

Hi,

I was not following BLF for some months.

Need to buy 4-5 flashlight for gift., Will prefer cree t6 with 18650 battery.

My budget is very tight.

Requesting members for some flashlights with decent light(lumens) & power consumption.

Need to order quite soon.

Thanks,
BT

Do they all need to be the same light of a variety? What sort of light, EDC, pocket, thrower, etc, etc.

And you say budget is tight, but how much per light?

You say your budget is tight; how tight?

This C8 is very impressive @ $18.34:

same or different light no issue.

Budget , I will say 12 USD to 15 USD.

looks like same light diff price.

What about ultrafire 504B?

Thanks,

I can't comment on the C8 lights from DinoDirect, only the one from Manafont I mentioned. A lot of times, the ultra-budget C8s aren't driven strongly and you don't get the full brightness. The C8 I reference has a decent driver that goes Direct-Drive on high which makes it an extremely bright light.

Also a lot of people here have had bad experiences with DinoDirect not shipping what they advertise as well as poor follow-up experiences from the CS team. I've only bought from them twice but I didn't have any issues with my purchases...

The 501/502/503/504 type hosts will make a nice light, but a decent LED drop-in will cost nearly as much as the full C8. They are smaller, but are not very impressive throwers due to the much smaller reflector.

And finally, do NOT use salvaged laptop cells for gift lights unless the recipient is technically capable, aware of the dangers, and knows proper charging/cell handling procedure! I use salvaged laptop cells in some of my lights, but I STRONGLY recommend you purchase PROTECTED cells for gifiting.

with 2X or 3X 18650 battery with t6 or u2 led, budget light, any suggestion.

I like c8, ordered few.

Thanks,
BT

TrustFire X8. the brightest single XML light.

TF X8 The Brightest Single XML Light ?
3 amp
48mm Head Dia.
42 mm Ref. Dia.
No Way. Do You have Proof or?

You can’t go wrong there, believe me. Best part is that you can run it on high for as long as the batts can take it and it will not overheat. Massive heatsink is why. For the money that aspect alone at this price-range it’s not surpassed by any other single XML on the market, period. Much less its overall quality of construction from A to Z. And the version the above seller provides has the extension tube. You can run 1 x 18650 or 2 x 18650.

And yes, it’s really BRIGHT with plenty of throw and big spill combined. IMO, prolly the most underrated torch out there for the bucks. And the seller above me sells the genuine TrustFire X8. Many clones out there that are inferior.

You won’t regret it.

Just sayin’…….

but it’s not T6 is this……

An amazing light. It’s a Q4 emitter but it acts like a quasi-T6 with really big punch. With brightness and focus out of such a small torch that it has to be seen to be believed.

What a torch for less than $15. And talk about quality construction. It’s that good.

I would recommend the sipik sk98, but its not perfect. Crazy driver and it would be better to add a small heatsink in it.

The wf501 compared to a c8, makes the bigger head the light not more incomfortable for a jacket or so?
I ask because i am on the search as a adequate change to my burned one?
