Hello, I have been reading alot here BLF. This will be my first real high powered light, all I’ve owned so far was a cheap Ultrafire 501b xml T6 with”ultrafire” 18650’s. The only time I ever measured at the tailcap the amperage was 1 amp. I’ve basically been looking for a single cell 18650 or 26650 light that is impressively bright. I was going to order one of the “Super” Xintd c8’s, but they sold out before I could get one. What I liked about those was that you could run them on the highest output with no auto-stepdown and supposedly heat wasn’t a problem. That being said I think this light might be a better choice because of the 26650 format for longer runtimes. Will this light get hot enough to require an auto stepdown from the max output? Also, I plan on getting a the King Kong 26650 4000mah protected to go with the light. Would I notice a significant increase in brightness with the efest 3500mah purple 26650? I plan to get the mod option 2 with a 3c tint.
Am I correct in thinking that I will get 6amps with the BLF FET driver on the King Kong 4000 protected cells? Any rough idea of how many lumens I might get?
Is this the best/brightest/coolest single cell 26650 hotrod I can buy for under $100? If there any others I should be looking at let me know! I was also looking at RMM’s S3 triple xp-g before it sold out… I think this Supfire L6 will handle heat buildup alot better though. I wish there was a review on the modded version of this light but I guess MTNelectronics just started offering them.
Any insight or suggestions are greatly appreciated, I am somewhat new to this, thanks for all the help!!
