I think we have to have a little empathy. Many urbanite people are tole in thr media constantly that aninals are SO nice, they wouldn’t hurt anyone.
Example. Video or a woman saying ‘hey sweetieee. What’s the problem? Come here deaaaaar’.
What is coming is a huge cow, the video is cut but we can assume the cow is not nice to the woman.
What was that woman thinking? Dunno, but she prpbably never saw a cow close before.
Lots of people are told that animals are nice if you are nice to them. How much can we blame them for these accidents?
BTW the guy sharing that video is a rancher who always makes videos about his bulls.
He loves those huge things and on occasion he pets them.
And he is very clear that those are bulls, and that he has to be always close to somewhere he can bolt, because they may ram him at any moment.

Maybe it’s just me but it’s hard to be empathic with people who do these stupid acts. Adults should know better than to ‘play’ with large and potentially dangerous animals. And with sharks you can take out the word ‘potentially’. Same as trying to pet bison’s, bears, etc.
So yeah, I do blame them for these incidents (they’re not really accidents since the consequences are readily apparent).

Well, I do blame them too. Adults should be responsible. But again, I think that many people are told that aninals, sharks included, are harmless.
If people receives a bad education, accidents happen.
Let’s just think about dogs. How many people rushes to pet then even when their owner is not present?
I don’t know about you, but I was told to keep my distance by default. Pet them after asking the owner.
I think that this is the same, just with a way more dangerpus animal.

Adults are supposed to learn things as they get older. But we sadly, especially in 1st world urban areas, are removed from many of life’s realities. Too many are raised with the mantra that if something bad happens it has to be someone else’s fault (and responsibility to take of).
Things sure were different when I grew up as a kid (1950’s).
